9.29: What I'm Loving
Hey guys! I hope you are enjoying the first few days of fall. Upstate New York is feeling ridiculously fall-like and I have no complaints. From the largest display of pumpkin I’ve ever seen (thanks, Wegman’s!) to the cold mornings, I have loved being able to unpack a few of my sweaters and savor the best time of year to be of living in the north.
I have my first exam this week and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little stressed. Thankfully, I have been able to spend a lot of time studying the material and am hoping for the best. My main goal this year is to have no regrets and to be able to look back on the semester and know I did the best I could. Part of doing that has been making sure I get lots of studying in and take care of myself. Thankfully, I have a wonderful husband who is always reminding me to slow down, get the sleep I need, and constantly encourages me.. This week, I came home to flowers, a donut and a new pair of sweatpants. Talk about knowing exactly what a girl wants, right?!
Anywaaayyys, enough about me! Here are a few things that have caught my eye (or ear!) the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!
The Madewell Fall Line graced my email inbox this week and WOWZERS. Someone take away my wallet because I want allllll of it. These colors are right down my alley and scream autumn.
This mocha cold brew is delicious. I’ve been putting it in my morning protein smoothie: a banana, two scoops of protein, one cup of the cold brew, a tablespoon of almond butter and ice. So yummm. (I get mine at my local Wegmans!)
This Loft sweater is so soft and comfy. It feels like you’re wearing a super cozy blanket all day. If you’re getting anything for fall/winter—this should be it!
If you follow @eholmes on Instagram, you know hatbands are making a comeback. I’ve been wearing this one and just got this pack of three from Amazon! It’s finally the year for us all to embrace our inner Blair Waldorf!
What fall fashion inspiration are you? I’d like to think I’m the pumpkin bread but am pretty sure I’m the rare book seller, haha!
I made this butternut squash pasta for meal prep last week and it was probably the best thing I have ever spent a whole week eating. If you meal prep, you know that eating the same meal for lunch can get a little iffy the closer you get to Friday—not this recipe.
Have you ever looked at those super elaborate #fallvibes Pinterest pictures and wondered “Who watches a movie like that?!” If yes, then you have to check out @bethereinfive ‘s highlight on her Instagram titled “Fauxliage". She says what everyone is thinking and it could not be funnier.
I love Grace Atwood’s Four Fall Trends post, especially the power suit and the primary colors!
This hot chocolate recipe was to die for. It’s not watery like most hot chocolates and is so perfectly creamy!
I’ve been waffling back and forth between keeping my long-is hair and chopping it again. This post had a lot of good inspiration, although I can’t say it helped me decide. If anything, it gave me more options to think about!
On that note, that’s all I have for now. I have a few posts planned soon and hope to be posting a little more than once a week (that being said, I’m very proud that I even get one up a week!) I hope you all have a wonderful week and get to spend some time outside enjoying this weather!
